Welcome to the IPMS Roscoe Turner August 2007 Newsletter.

It is that time again for the next meeting. The meeting will be next Friday, Aug.17th at Warren Central High School in the cafeteria and will start at 7pm. I hope everyone is hungry for some cheesecake!

1. This will be the last month we meet at Warren Central until next year. The September meeting and subsequent meeting swill return to Stonybrook Middle School. The date for the October meeting has been changed to Oct. 26th, due to the school's vacation schedule. The time and location haven't changed. If there are any questions, please let the E-Board know.

2. Be prepared to discuss dates for the 2008 contest at this upcoming meeting. Keep in mind that we will have competition with 2 other shows near and in the month of March. The AMPS 2008 show will be at the Victory Museum in Auburn, In. and willl be held on April 10-12 and the SEMMEX 2008 show in Warren, Mi. will be held on March 15th. If I recall correctly, the powers that be at the National and Regional level may not approve show dates if the new show dates conflict with previous show dates that have already been approved and are in the same region. Please keep this information and the above show dates in mind when suggesting dates for our show.

3. If you are a member of the IPMS national organization, please go vote in 2007 national elections. The address is www.ipmsusa.org/index.htm You have until September 31st, 2007 to cast your vote.

4. The club will also be discussing the Christmas Party/gift exchange. We need to decide if the meeting will be held in December with the pizza party or in January at a restaurant or other suitable location. Please bring your ideas and suggestions.

8. I think this is it for now. As always if you have any information, articles, reviews (c'mon, everyone has an opinion about a recent buy or build. Share it with everyone), events, buy/sell/trade items or if you just feel the need to share your feelings with the group (like One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest), please let me know. See you this coming Friday!
